Surface Protection
Dureflex® brand aliphatic polyurethane film is transparent, impact-absorbing and self-healing film applied to highly vulnerable, exterior vehicle surfaces that are prone to cosmetic degradation from abrasion, impact from small airborne debris, and exposure to common open road corrosive chemicals. Principle agents affecting these surfaces are insects, environmental conditions such as UV and acid rain, plus fuel, grease, oil, tar, and other influences that mar the surface aesthetics.
Performance Summary
Adhesive and / or top coats may be applied to Dureflex® brand film to make surface protecting films that preserve finishes from marring, pitting, scratching, and chipping. Absent of plasticizers and migrating lubricants, Dureflex® films for surface protection remain flexible and avoid adhesion failure and discoloration. Adhesives are able to anchor and form a strong bond between the film and the car surface. Easily conforming to shapes and angles, Dureflex® film protects highly visible vehicle parts, such as front ends, side-view mirrors, headlights, and rocker panels. Other surface protection applications for Dureflex® film include exterior aircraft parts, wind turbine blades, and appliance surfaces.
