Balloons, Buoys, Bladders, and Collapsible Storage
Excellent flex fatigue, tensile strength, abrasion resistance, and barrier properties make Dureflex® polyurethane and specialty elastomer film products the preferred choice for collapsible storage containers, promotional balloons, weather balloons, buoys, and bladders.
Tanks, Chutes, Hopper Linings, and Flexible Hose & Ducting
Because of its low-temperature flexibility and excellent resistance to abrasion, chemicals, moisture, and puncture, Dureflex® film is used for flexible industrial hose, ductwork, tanks, chutes, and hopper linings. When desired, Dureflex® film can be engineered to dissipate static, especially in applications where electrostatic build-up and / or discharge can lead to safety or contamination risks.
Food and Industrial Conveyance Belting
Conveyer and drive belts made with a flexible adhesive interlayer of Dureflex® film achieve a composite belt strength that is greater than the individual components. Beyond interlayers, Dureflex® meets the challenging requirements of belt surfaces by resisting cuts, tears, and abrasions, even in refrigerated processing and storage environments. When specified, Dureflex® film can be formulated using raw materials that are approved by the FDA for food contact.
Cured in-place pipe rehabilitation (CIPP)
In-ground pipes can be repaired in-place without costly disruptions by using Dureflex® film for bonding seams of urethane coated, felt pipe repair linings.
Decorative Molding and Thermoformed Parts
Dureflex® film is used with foam-in-place molds for decorative accent moldings and cornices, protecting costly molding tools from the corrosive effects of foam reactions. Additionally, component parts, liners, and protective layers can be added onto products by thermoforming Dureflex® polyurethane film. These soft, thermoformed parts are flexible, durable, and may provide additional grip, soft touch, and elastic barrier properties, as well as protection from contamination and wear.
