Packaging

Dureflex® band film can be manufactured to create durable packaging that protects fragile components during shipping.

Performance Summary

Breakable or easily damaged, high-value items, such as electronic components that are sensitive to physical shock, can be protected during shipping when Dureflex® film is used to construct suspension. Larger items prone to denting and scratching can be protected by inflatable dunnage packaging. The highly puncture and tear resistant Dureflex® film membrane provides a shape-conforming barrier that securely but gently holds the contents in place, guarding against impact and vibration damage.

Dureflex® film offers several significant advantages over traditional packaging materials, including less weight / lower shipping cost, flexibility in sub-zero conditions and reduced risk from contamination by packing materials.

Suspension Packaging

TPU films are the most important components for suspension packaging; they are located on the upper side of two shells. Polyester urethane films are extremely elastic and flexible, but at the same time stable and temperature-resistant. The packaged goods are thus well protected against shock and other mechanical impacts.

Our Makrofol® and Bayfol® films may also be used for high-end design packaging.

Their excellent printability and controlled transparency/translucency and their good formability open up a whole host of design options.

Certain properties of our films are often used specifically for technical packaging. One example is packaging for medical articles where good transparency and sterilization with gamma rays are often needed. Conductive formulations of films such as Makrofol® and Bayfol® are ideal as anti-static packaging for computer chips or sensitive electronic components.
