Printing and Ink Adhesion
Dureflex® brand polyurethane and specialty elastomer film can be formulated to enhance ink adhesion. Excellent ink adhesion is derived by using solvent based inks with a polymer binder. Water based inks might also be used with film containing no additives.
Makrofol® polycarbonate films are extremely versatile and used in a broad range of printing applications, such as instrument panels, trade show displays, membrane switches, control panels, and decals. The printing method selected depends on various factors such as the run length/number of items, the shape of the component, the properties of the film surface and how often a print image is modified; for example with additional customized address information.
